Part time law school can be a wise choice for some. With part time law school, you can work or take care of your family while pursuing your legal education. Also, the cost of your degree is spread out over more time with a part time law school program. The combination of being able to work and spreading the cost over more time can be a powerful advantage for a new law grad in these difficult economic times.
Full time law school in the U.S. is normally a 3 year program, whereas part time law programs typically take at least 3 1/2 years (if you take classes in the Summer and a full load during the Fall and Spring).
Otherwise, a typical part time program is 4 years. Although a program may extend to 5 years or more depending on the school and the particular needs of a student.

Part Time Law School - classes held in the day time, but students proceed at a part time pace. In part time programs students typically complete the law degree in four years instead of three.
